We are always immensely grateful when a supporter decides to raise money for our charity.
One supporter, however, has gone a step further than most and is raising money for two charities close to his heart. Pilgrim Bandits and Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes.
William Worthing (aka Lenny) has already spent the last few months raising money at car boot sales and by donning his “Minion” outfit and spending long hours in shopping centres and in high streets.
His final “event” for his chosen charities is a hike. A very long journey which will see him jogging from London to his home town of Newport. He will be doing the equivalent of a marathon a day for 6 days. He says his training is going well!!
Each night along his journey he has been offered free accommodation and we are delighted that another of our supporters, the Oak Farm Hotel in Cannock is providing a free overnight accommodation and breakfast to send him on his way on the final leg to Newport.
Lenny’s other charity, Pilgrim Bandits, was established by a small group of Special Forces Veterans in 2007 with the sole aim of using their unique training and experience to help and inspire wounded soldiers to live life to the full.

Good luck Lenny. We salute you!
