Posted on Updated on

Good training is essential for starting off on the right track in any aspect of life, and motorcycling is no exception. Expert training will keep you safer on the road and give you an essential skill base which can be built on by future experience and further advanced training.

The first step on the road to becoming biker (and future blood biker) starts with your CBT, followed by DAS.

Shireoak motorcycle training in Brownhills, Staffs have long been supporters of SSBB, (even the instructors wear our badges on their Hi-Vis vests). As well as expert training, this friendly group have regular ride outs and social events.

Owner Paul explains more below:

Shireoak Motorcycles has been established in Brownhills since 1998 – providing CBT’s, DAS and A2 training. At Shireoak motorcycle training we offer the latest courses designed to give you the skills to enjoy the freedom of motorcycling safely.  Our courses are delivered by experienced, DSA approved instructors with a friendly approach who will take all the time necessary to ensure you feel confident on the road.

We offer Compulsory Basic Training (C.B.T)  for beginners and the Direct Access Scheme (D.A.S) for riders wishing to pursue larger machines along with advanced and refresher training that can be tailored to suit your individual needs.

We also carry out motorcycle repairs by a qualified mechanics and  presently support Staffordshire County council in road safety issues as well as promoting blood bikers, whom support us on ride outs.

These ride outs are the first of their kind and have been running since 2013 and have been a success, which is why Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership (Road Safety) are going to adopt this safe promotional riding in 2015.  We have two groups – Group 1 caters for the needs of 125cc and above.  Group 2 caters for the needs of the 500cc bikes and above.  Both groups are marshalled by either, ex-police advanced riders, advance riders or Instructors.  Group 1 will concentrate on developing their riding to test standard.  Group 2 will concentrate on developing their riding skills to advanced level.  These ride outs are free, enjoyable, safe, professionally organised.  Group 2 have the opportunity to access Bike Sense which is subsidised heavily by Staffordshire council (meaning YOU pay only £30), allowing riders to have 6hrs of intense tuition from ex-police, advanced or advanced motorcycle instructor
