Where there’s a will there’s a way – Ansons Solicitors fundraising day a huge success.

Posted on Updated on

Ansons solicitors in Lichfield have supported Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes from our formation 15 months ago, and on Saturday (28th march) they held an event for us.

The event was called “Pop in before you pop off” the idea being that the public could pop in and make a will in return for a donation of just £20. Around 20 members of staff came in on their day off, and worked voluntarily and tirelessly all day in aid of our charity.

We had one of our blood bikes outside the offices, with Phil S and Steve H on hand to welcome the clients and chat about what we do.

SSBB and Ansons Solicitors would like to thank everyone who popped in, with 115 wills being written by the wills and probate team

Which means an amazing £2300 was raised on the day!!

The money will be used towards buying a blood bike to be based in the Lichfield area, upgrading one of our older bikes and improving the efficiency of our service.

Marie Tisdale, head of the wills and probate team based in Lichfield, said “We are delighted to have welcomed so many new clients to the firm and raised money for Blood Bikes in the process.  Having had such encouraging feedback, the team will certainly be planning another event like it in the near future.”

On behalf everyone at SSBB, we want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Ansons Solicitors for working so hard on the day and raising this fantastic amount.
