It never ceases to amaze us at SSBB how our members and supporters raise funds for our charity. However, one of our members Gary Fear really is pushing himself to the limit as he is intending to undertake a charity cycle ride (that’s pushbike not motorbike!) from one end of the country to the other at the end of May with all monies raised going to SSBB.
He is undertaking this amazing ride with two friends who are raising money for their own charities. Away for eight days and travelling over 900 miles they are all presently training hard for the mammoth event.
A local Stafford company, Clarity and Success, who specialize in computer software for jewellers are sponsoring all three riders with £500.00 each for their endeavours and also the lad’s shirts and we are extremely grateful to them for their support. Howden’s Joinery of Stafford are also sponsoring Gary to the tune of £250.00 which gets his fund raising off to a great start. His goal is to raise £3000.00 for us.
BUT they will not be alone!! Carrying spare kit and waving the SSBB flag on the trip will be three more SSBB members on their blood bikes!! Rider Nigel B., rider Howie J. and supporter Oliver B. are leading the way and will be visiting local jewellers, customers of Clarity and Success, on the journey on a further fund raising mission!! We must point out that they will all be working hard all week and it isn’t a holiday so they won’t be having FUN!!! Who knows, they may be joined by other blood bikers along the journey!
We will keep you up to date on this wonderful fund raiser and plenty of pictures when the event takes place. In the meantime, Gary is looking for sponsorship via his Just Giving page. If you have a few pounds to spare and would like to support him and us then please follow the link and make a donation. If you are a british tax payer gift aid can also be claimed which increases the amount we receive.

Thank you so much for your support and thank you Gary. Your commitment to SSBB is very much appreciated and we will support you all we can!
