Evening Folks

Here is Part II in the Helen BTrilogy of Reports” regarding last weeks activities! Tonight’s installment takes us back to the gorgeous surrounds of Lilleshall Hall Golf Club!

Lilleshall Hall Golf Club was the beautiful setting for a recent SSBB display. Located to one side of the clubhouse, the SSBB members were on full display complemented by the latest mini moto to join the junior fleet. Golfers on the 1st, 9th, 10th and 18th holes had a good view of SSBB, the chosen charity of the new Lady Captain Sue Parker, for her year in office.

It was the official start of her year when the “Captain’s Drive In” took place. The men’s Captain, whose nominated charity for his year is Prostate Cancer and Sue took their drives from the first tee triggering a shotgun start for the rest of the golfers to commence their game.

Whilst the competition was underway all the SSBB members present were treated to free tea and coffee, spiced parsnip soup, cake, sausage rolls and bacon baps all courtesy of Sue and Di. We thank them for their hospitality on a cold day. We hope we left sufficient for the golfers!!

SSBB are looking forward to supporting Sue at various events she has in her diary. Naming a charity to support was an important decision for her year as Captain and SSBB are absolutely delighted that she thought that our charity was the one for her. She wanted something new, something different and something local.

We fitted the bill perfectly!

We are looking forward to supporting Sue over the coming months in her endeavours on our behalf.
