Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes (SSBB) are thrilled to announce that British Superbikes Champion and TT winner Michael Rutter will be at Staffordshire Triumph on Thursday 16 October at 12:30 when the latest Blood Bike to join the SSBB fleet is presented to the charity.
“SSBB Chairman Chris Powdrill said: “Michael has supported the charity right from the start and we are delighted that he has found time in his busy racing schedule to be with us.
“The arrival of the Trophy, called Princess Carrie, marks a significant step in our development as we continue to expand our urgent delivery services for the NHS with support for University Hospital (Newcastle-under-Lyme) starting this Autumn.
“It is hard to believe we only commenced operations in January this year, as the charity now has over 60 volunteer riders, controllers and members across Shropshire and Staffordshire. The Trophy brings the number of marked blood bikes operated by SSBB to 8, all provided by voluntary donations.
“Michael’s 2014 season has seen him ride for Bathams Prizewinning Ales aboard a BMW in the British Superbike Championship, International North West 200 and at the Isle of Man TT riding a Daytona for Smiths Triumph Racing. His next scheduled race is the BSB triple header at Brands Hatch on 17-19 October.”
SSBB welcome everyone interested in the work of the Blood Bikes charity to join them at Staffordshire Triumph on Thursday 16th October at 12:30 to meet Michael Rutter and the latest bike to join the fleet.
