Shrewsbury Lions Support Blood Bikes

Good Evening SSBB Supporters

If you have been out on your motorcycle today, then you are either brave or very brave! The weather has been atrocious at times and the best course of action would have been to leave the bike in the garage! Thunder, lightning, wind and rain do not make for ideal riding conditions, but Nigel B (Last night’s SSBB Rider) ploughed through the lot in delivering 4 packages whilst on duty, which was an outstanding effort. Well done to wife, Helen B as well, for being with him every step of the way as the Controller!

Anyhow, moving on to the topic of tonight’s post. Recently SSBB were invited to the Shrewsbury Lions Fun Day (Event report will be posted soon!). Following this, the Shrewsbury Lions Club has donated £500 to support our charity.

The following article has been written by Roy B.

President of the Shrewsbury Lions Club Marian Thevarajah said: “We are very grateful to the Blood Bikes for supporting our Fun Day held in the Quarry and are pleased in-turn to support this new charity and the important job they do in the community”.

Thanking Shrewsbury Lions Club members, Steve Clarke said: “I am delighted to accept this cheque for £500 on behalf of Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes“.

Shrewsbury Lions are part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organisation with more than 1.3 million members in approximately 45,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
