Good Evening All
Here is another brilliant story of a group of work mates combing forces to do something fabulous for SSBB. 7 intrepid Kier employees embarked on a days worth of riding in order to raise vital funds for our charity.
On Monday 16th June riders from the construction & services group Kier took part in “Ride to work day“ – riding their motorbikes to work in aid of Shropshire & Staffordshire Blood Bikes. In what turned out to be perfect bike-riding weather, sites at Capenhurst, Speke, Manchester, Tempsford and Scotland were visited, and the riders were sponsored for the privilege!
Between them they raised £400, with the funds raised going to Shropshire & Staffordshire Blood Bikes (SSBB).
In addition to this, The Kier Foundation, Kier’s independently registered charity, which currently supports both their corporate charity partner, Macmillan Cancer Support, and other charitable causes, has matched the amount raised, so the grand total going to SSBB is £800!!
We would like thank all the Kier staff for allowing Andrew B, Chris B, Neil A, Greg T, Craig C, Anthony S and Matt B, and not forgetting Val (the organiser) to indulge in their pastime while raising money for a good cause.
