Good Evening Everyone
I hope you have all had a great weekend; we certainly did despite the indifferent weather.
The Egg Run is a 14-mile route from the Britannia Stadium to the King’s Hall, Stoke, in which riders travel in convoy, collecting Easter eggs en route, which then get donated to disadvantaged and underprivileged children in the city. It has now become tradition for riders to wear fancy dress and many different wacky designs were spotted this year!
On the day, there was a cracking turnout, with a predicted 5000 bikers in attendance! From an SSBB perspective, we raised £46 from sales of our merchandise (A list of which can be found here), and a few more pennies were collected in our collection tins. The event however was more about raising our public profile and supporting this amazing cause – We were privileged to be asked to lead out the convoy!
Thank you so much to all our volunteers for helping us man our stand within the King’s Hall and to all our supporters who spent the time to come and visit us. We hope you enjoyed the event. We are now looking forward to participating in the Christmas edition, the “Toy Run”, in December!
