From monks to blood bikes, the story of the Joule’s Brewery spans nearly 1000 years but don’t take our word for it, join us for a tour of the brewery, taste some great beers, enjoy some pub food and excellent company, on Thursday 6th March at 7:00pm.
Whether you fancy the Chairman’s favourite, Slumbering Monk, a silky copper beer rather like Chris himself, or you prefer yours Blonde, or Pale, don’t worry, there’s 3 special cask beers on tap, with soft drinks for the drivers and a Giant Pork Bap for everyone.
We will have an expert guided tour of the brewery, where the secret is in the water from the Market Drayton aquafer – a source of superb spring water from the Triassic Bunter pebble beds far below your sump plug.
If you don’t fancy the 45 minute brewery tour (there are some 70 steps to climb) then stay in the Red Lion Tap by the open fire, with a tipple of your choice from the bar.
The Star in the Bar will be a very smart Yamaha FJR, the latest blood bike to join the SSBB fleet, with the mini-moto bike and a range of SSBB goodies joining the party!
Tickets including food are just £10 each (Bookable in advance here as numbers are limited to 60). Joules Blonde, Pale Ale and Slumbering Monk, donated by Joule’s Brewery, are £2 a pint with all proceeds going to SSBB! A full range of drinks is available at the cash bar. The Giant Pork Bap will be served at the end of the brewery tour (special dietary needs catered for).
Parking is available behind the brewery, just follow the signs to the car park.
Hope to see you there…..
