Rolleston Transport Festival – 26th May

Posted on

Good Morning Everyone

Every year Rolleston on Dove plays host to a vast array of classic cars, trucks, bikes and much much more, turning Rolleston into an attraction for the whole family to enjoy. The festival is organised and run by a dedicated team of volunteers who work extremely hard to ensure that the festival is a day out to enjoy. It’s with your support “our visitors” that money is raised for the charities which the organising committee decides to support. This year the chosen charities who will benefit from this years festival are:

• The Almshouses restoration Fund who are trying to raise £600,000
• St Mary’s Church Fabric Fund
• Midlands Air Ambulance
Staffordshire & Shropshire Blood Bikes
• Rolleston on Dove Station Renovation appeal on the Jinny Trail.

Everyone at SSBB is very grateful to the organising committee for choosing us as one of their sponsored charities for this years’ event. To show our support, we will be attending the show along with several of our marked blood bikes as well as a stand for everyone to come and have a chat and find out exactly what it is us “Blood Bikers” do! The event is taking place in Rolleston on Dove (Sat Nav Code: DE13 9DN) on May 26th (May Bank Holiday Monday!), which is a little way off yet, but I thought it worthwhile highlighting this now so you can put the date in your diaries!

If you would like any more information about this superb event, then please visit the Rolleston Transport Festival Facebook Page which can be found here: Fingers crossed for a long, warm summer!
