Christmas Fair Fundraiser (In September I hear You Cry!!!)

Posted on Updated on

Good Afternoon SSBB Supporters

Over the last few weeks SSBB has continued to make solid progress. At the heart of this are the fundraising activities undertaken by many of its members, and I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone completing these valuable tasks and to those who have sponsored them to do so.

With this in mind, there is another fundraising event being planned. One of our members has strong links with another local charity “Tumaini Ltd” ( and this charity donates money to other local and well meaning charities. They have very kindly added SSBB to their list.

Tumaini are conducting a Christmas Fair on Saturday 23rd November in the Church Hall of All Saints Church, Branston Road, Burton. It is expected that this will run from 11:00 – 15:00. There will be all sorts of activities taking place including live music from “Lady and the Tramps” (Who play 1950’s style music) as well as Imelda May and Caro Emerald. In addition, there will be plenty of tea/coffee and cake to keep you fuelled! Tumaini have put on several such events in the past and these have proven very popular, so the more people we can attract to the event, the better it will be for all involved.

One of our committee members, Clive Bower, will also be in attendance with a marked up blood bike helping to raise the group profile. If you haven’t seen one before, or are interested in seeing what we as a group are hoping to purchase with the fruits of our fundraising activities, then I encourage you to go and have a look on November 23rd!
